Yes, work-life-balance when working from home is a thing! Especially when we are all working from home during the current pandemic, and our kids are at home as well. Schools in India have been closed since March 2020, and it seems that online learning is here to stay for the next year.
Now I don’t mean to be a sexist, but I think that women have been impacted more than men in the never-ending struggle to make time for work, exercise, manage domestic affairs, with the added responsibility of home-schooling.
My life’s been more hectic for the simple reason that I must now attend to my son during the morning as well when he would otherwise have been at school. As much as I love my son, I also enjoy my work – in fact, I have an inbuilt desire to be ‘economically productive.’ Also, I feel incredibly grateful to have my work-cup runneth over even in these challenging times.
So here’s what I have done over the last month to create some semblance of a work-life balance. I hope you will identify with some of what I have to say and that the tips can help you create a greater order to your day.
P.S. Incidentally, the reason I made this podcast is because I was not able to find the time to create written content for my business website. And that led me to think about making an audio blog, which I believe is an excellent addition to the content on my website. So you see, every crisis is an opportunity to reinvent.
